Tsurumi Ryokuchi’s Weekly Marche

Street Food, Fresh Produce and Never the Same Twice

Every weekend, Tsurumi Ryokuchi’s Seseragi Marche brings food trucks, seasonal produce and independent vendors to the park. From international street food to special family attractions, there’s always something new to discover.

Tsurumi Ryokuchi’s tree-lined Central Avenue comes alive with Tsurumi Marche, a weekly outdoor market where food trucks, farmers, independent vendors and occasional special attractions make every visit a little different.

Autumn flavors take center stage October 10–11, with two days of kitchen cars and seasonal farm products. Visitors can explore everything from Okinawan specialties, Hawaiian garlic shrimp and kebabs on Saturday to pizza, curry, karaage, crepes and açaí bowls on Sunday.

The agricultural lineup includes autumn favorites such as black edamame, new rice, sweet potatoes and Shine Muscat grapes, alongside specialty foods, coffee and sweets. With different vendors appearing each day, the weekend offers plenty of reasons to explore, eat and linger in the park.

Food is the heart of Seseragi Marche, but the organizers have demonstrated a knack for making individual weekends memorable. Different editions bring international flavors, local craft beer, handmade accessories, seasonal harvests and occasional activities for families.

Some weekends go considerably further. In both 2025 and 2026, the market hosted Iiyama Snow Wonderland, bringing an extraordinary 20 tons of natural snow from Nagano Prefecture to Osaka in the middle of summer. Families enjoyed snow play and sledding, while food vendors introduced special dishes featuring ingredients from Iiyama.

Other editions have included summer evening markets with live entertainment, craft shopping and seasonal food promotions. Even rainy days have inspired special coupons and small gifts for visitors. These attractions aren’t part of every market, and that’s precisely the appeal: the familiar Sunday gathering can occasionally turn into something entirely unexpected.

The market takes place along Central Avenue in Tsurumi Ryokuchi, one of Osaka’s most expansive green spaces and the former site of the 1990 International Garden and Greenery Exposition. With its broad paths, gardens and open spaces, the park makes an inviting setting for a leisurely weekend outing. Grab something delicious from a kitchen car, browse the farm stalls and independent vendors, then take a walk through the grounds.

Tsurumi Marche returns next weekend, October 17–18, with another changing lineup of street food, seasonal produce and specialty drinks. Saturday brings pasta, tacos, Thai curry and autumn harvests, while Sunday features Turkish kebabs, vegan burgers, fresh doughnuts and craft beer from Tanba Sasayama Zigzag Brewery.

Whether you’re hunting for fresh produce, trying a new street-food favorite or stumbling across a special attraction, Seseragi Marche offers a different reason to return each Sunday.

A Different Market Every Sunday — Changing vendors and seasonal specialties keep Tsurumi Ryokuchi’s weekly market fresh.

Street Food Galore — Kitchen cars serve everything from Japanese favorites to international dishes and sweets.

Fresh from the Farm — Seasonal vegetables, fruit and regional specialties bring a farmers-market feel.

Unexpected Attractions — Past editions have featured live entertainment and even 20 tons of summer snow.

A Day in the Park — Enjoy food, shopping and a leisurely stroll through Tsurumi Ryokuchi.
