Bakushoku Onsai’s Grand Finale
Osaka’s traveling international food and music festival brings global flavors, craft beer, live performances and cultural experiences to Takatsuki. Its autumn finale adds a handmade marketplace to the celebration at historic Ama Site Park.

Osaka’s traveling celebration of international food, music and culture has one more stop to make. From November 20–23, 2026, Bakushoku Onsai (麦食音祭) brings its year-end finale to Ama Site Park in Takatsuki, transforming the expansive green space into a gathering place for global flavors, craft beer, live entertainment and cultural exchange.

For a festival that has spent the year moving across Osaka, it’s a fitting destination. Bakushoku Onsai began as an effort to carry forward the spirit of international exchange associated with Expo 2025, bringing people together through food, music and shared experiences. During 2026, the festival traveled from Expo ’70 Park in Suita to Grand Green Osaka in Umeda and the waterfront at SENNAN LONG PARK. According to the organizers, the series has welcomed a cumulative 380,000 visitors.
Now the journey reaches Takatsuki.

The autumn edition promises an international assortment of food vendors alongside craft beer, with live music, DJs, dance and cultural performances adding to the atmosphere. Artists with roots in Japan and countries around the world are expected to appear, while new exhibitors will introduce additional experiences to the festival. The complete lineup and participating vendors are being announced progressively.
There’s another attraction this time. From November 21–23, Kansai Atelier Stage Marche plans to join the festivities at the park’s East Plaza, bringing handmade crafts, original artwork, accessories and workshops. The accompanying market adds a creative dimension to a festival already built around discovering different cultures.
The setting has its own story. Ama Site Park occupies land associated with a Yayoi-period settlement dating back approximately 2,500 years. Today, its broad lawns, walking paths and family-friendly facilities make it one of Takatsuki’s most welcoming public spaces.
With free admission and four days of international food, music and activities, Bakushoku Onsai’s 2026 finale offers an opportunity to explore the world without leaving Osaka Prefecture. And while the festival’s next destination remains unannounced, Takatsuki provides a lively setting in which to close another year of cultural connections.
