MONTHLY GUIDE

October 2026

From Summer Glow to Autumn Flow

October is Osaka’s sweet spot between seasons—warm days, cooler nights, and a city alive with festivals, street food, and outdoor adventures.

October in Osaka feels like the perfect hand-off from summer, but without the lingering humidity of the previous months. Afternoons are bright and pleasant, evenings are cool enough for a light jacket, and the city settles into a more comfortable pace. Parks, shopping streets, neighborhoods, and waterfronts are ideal for exploring, while outdoor terraces, beer gardens, and evening events stay lively well into the night.

Every October, Osaka’s cultural calendar comes alive with neighborhood festivals, seasonal food events, Halloween celebrations, live sports, concerts, and autumn exhibitions. Historic traditions such as the Kishiwada Danjiri Festival continue to draw huge crowds, while cooler weather makes October one of the city’s best months for outdoor events and exploring. It’s a season where the energy of summer gives way to the colors, flavors, and traditions of autumn.

From autumn festivals to Halloween celebrations, October is when Osaka truly comes into its own.
