K-Pop Star U-KNOW Takes Center Stage

After 20 Years in the Spotlight, Yunho Tells His Own Story

K-pop superstar Yunho, one-half of the legendary duo TVXQ (Tohoshinki), brings his first solo concert project to Osaka-jō Hall, November 14–15, 2026. Discover the music, choreography and personal storytelling behind SCENE #1 – EDIT, a production specially adapted for Japan.

For more than two decades, U-KNOW — better known to Japanese audiences as Yunho of Tohoshinki (TVXQ) — has commanded some of Japan’s biggest stages as a pioneer of K-pop’s international success. This November, the spotlight belongs entirely to him. The celebrated singer and dancer brings U-KNOW PROJECT 26 : SCENE #1 – EDIT to Osaka-jō Hall on November 14 and 15, presenting a Japanese adaptation of his first solo concert production. It’s an opportunity to experience a familiar K-pop superstar from an entirely different perspective.

Osaka audiences know Yunho well. As recently as December 2024 and January 2025, he performed four concerts at Osaka-jō Hall with TVXQ during the duo’s 20th-anniversary ZONE tour. Now he returns to that same arena without his longtime musical partner, Changmin. The change is more than a matter of billing. SCENE #1 – EDIT explores Yunho’s identity, ambitions and personal journey, with a production specially reimagined for Japan.

The project made its debut in Seoul in July 2026, giving concertgoers an unusually personal look at the performer they thought they knew. Firsthand accounts describe dynamic lighting, layered staging, a live band and demanding dance sequences. One particularly memorable element involved a young performer representing Yunho’s younger self, bringing the concert’s autobiographical themes to life. These details belong to the original production; the precise staging of the Japanese EDIT version has not yet been revealed.

When the show reached Singapore in August, reviewers highlighted the contrast between Yunho’s commanding performance style and his easygoing interactions with fans. The concert moved between intense choreography, emotional songs and moments of humor, suggesting that the project’s real attraction lies in its willingness to reveal different sides of an artist celebrated for his discipline and charisma.

Born Jung Yun-ho, U-KNOW debuted with TVXQ in South Korea in 2003, helping establish the group as one of the defining acts of the Korean Wave. TVXQ made its Japanese debut in 2005 and went on to become one of the country’s most successful international concert acts. Yunho’s solo music has given him room to explore his own sound and visual identity, from the dramatic intensity of DROP and Follow to the playful energy of Thank U. Throughout his career, dance has remained central to his artistry, making movement as important to his storytelling as the music itself.

Now, SCENE #1 – EDIT brings that personal journey back to Osaka. For longtime TVXQ fans, it’s a chance to discover another dimension of a performer they’ve followed for years. For newcomers, it’s an introduction to an artist whose career has crossed languages, borders and generations. After so many years sharing the stage, Yunho is ready to show Osaka what happens when he takes center stage alone.
