Two Days Made for People Who Love Cats

Cat lovers take over ATC Hall for two days of feline fun, with cat goods, major pet brands, workshops, expert talks, a cat show and plenty of opportunities to celebrate your own favorite feline.

Is your camera roll mostly cats? Do your shopping bags somehow acquire cat-shaped objects? Can you happily spend an afternoon discussing what your cat will — and absolutely will not — eat? Some people just like cats, but if this is you, then Lovely Nyan Festa is for you.

Returning to Osaka for its second edition October 24–25, the two-day festival fills ATC Hall with almost every imaginable side of cat life. The 2026 event brings its largest manufacturer area yet, gathering dozens of cat-food and pet-product brands alongside independent creators selling cat-themed goods. There are workshops, new products to try, samples to discover and plenty of opportunities to find something for the cat waiting at home.

But this is more than a very large shopping trip. Bring a favorite photo on your phone and the Uchi no Ko Goods Studiocan turn it into a T-shirt, eco bag or mini towel in about five minutes. A self-photo studio offers professional-style portraits with your cat, while a product-testing area lets feline visitors investigate toys and cat towers themselves. For visitors who don’t have a cat in tow, a separate interaction corner brings friendly cats from a Hyogo cat café to the festival.

There is a more serious side to all that feline enthusiasm. Veterinarians and other specialists take to the stage to discuss longevity, health, hydration and nutrition, while a special Sunday seminar looks at professional cat grooming in the United States. Saturday also brings a cat show open to pedigreed and household cats alike, while Nekonist turns visitors’ beloved cat photographs into part of the exhibition itself.

And yes, your own cat can come too — although this is one invitation that requires some preparation. Cat visitors have separate ticketing and health requirements, and must generally remain in a carrier, cage or pet cart inside ATC. The organizers themselves stress that a busy event environment isn’t right for every cat, so whether yours would actually enjoy a convention devoted entirely to its species is a decision best left to the human who knows it best.

Whether you come to shop, learn, meet some cats or simply spend two days among people who understand why you have 4,000 nearly identical cat photos on your phone, the premise remains wonderfully uncomplicated.

This weekend belongs to the cats.

Cat Lover’s Marketplace – Browse cat food, pet products and feline-themed goods from major brands and independent creators.

Make It Personal – Turn a favorite cat photo into custom T-shirts, eco bags and other keepsakes.

Learn Something New – Veterinarians and specialists share practical advice on cat health, nutrition, grooming and care.

Bring Your Cat – Cats can attend too, provided owners meet the festival’s ticketing, health and carrier requirements.

Come Hungry – Kitchen cars serve food at the event, so you don’t need to leave ATC when it’s time for lunch.

BRINGING YOUR CAT?
