Set against the wide lawns and iconic backdrop of Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, the autumn edition of Vintage Market has become one of Kansai’s most anticipated seasonal treasure hunts. Held each spring and fall, the series has grown steadily since its launch, earning a reputation as one of the region’s largest outdoor vintage gatherings.
The autumn edition of Vintage Market returns to the park’s East Plaza from October 23–25, 2026, and this one will be its biggest yet. Organizers are promising the largest edition in the event’s history, with record numbers of first-time exhibitors and dealers traveling from outside the Kansai region. Together, they’ll fill the sprawling outdoor market with antiques, vintage goods, old tools, clothing and carefully sourced finds from across Japan and around the world.
Autumn adds its own distinct atmosphere. Cooler air and golden light make for ideal browsing conditions, and the wide-open lawns of Expo ’70 allow the market to breathe. There are no cramped indoor aisles — just long sightlines, relaxed pacing, and the Tower of the Sun standing watch nearby.
Wandering the grounds feels less like shopping and more like time travel. Mid-century furniture sits beside Showa-era curios. Worn-in American denim hangs next to delicate European glassware. Handmade accessories, retro signage, military surplus, ceramic tableware — each table holds objects layered with decades of stories. As the series continues to grow in scale and attendance, Vintage Market has cemented itself as a fixture on Osaka’s market calendar — a modern heir to Europe’s great open-air flea markets, rooted firmly in Kansai style.

Walking Path:
Osaka Monorail → Koen-higashiguchi Station → walk toward Expo ’70 Commemorative Park → enter through the East Gate (東口) → continue into the Natural and Cultural Gardens → East Plaza (東の広場).
Allow approximately 10 minutes on foot from Koen-higashiguchi Station to East Plaza.
Bampaku-kinen-koen Station can also be used, but East Plaza is approximately 20 minutes away on foot, making Koen-higashiguchi the more convenient station for Vintage Market.

Admission ticket sales close at 16:00 each day.
The three-day market fills East Plaza with antiques, vintage clothing, furniture, ceramics, retro goods, collectibles and other finds from dealers across Japan.
Detailed Schedule: The complete Autumn 2026 stage and activity timetable has not yet been released. Vendor and program information will continue to be announced ahead of the event.
Weather: The market is held in light rain but may be cancelled in severe weather.

Same-Day Admission: ¥1,000
Elementary School & Younger: Free
A separate Expo ’70 Commemorative Park admission fee is required:

That makes the normal total admission ¥960 for an adult with an advance Vintage Market ticket or ¥1,260 with same-day admission.

What should visitors know before attending Vintage Market?
Arrive early if you're serious about vintage hunting. One-of-a-kind pieces can disappear quickly, and the market is large enough to reward plenty of browsing time.
Wear comfortable shoes. Vintage Market spreads across East Plaza, and a visit can easily involve several hours of walking and browsing.
Bring cash as a backup. Individual dealers may offer different payment methods, so don't assume every stall accepts cards or electronic payments.
The event takes place outdoors. Check the forecast before leaving and prepare for changing autumn weather. Light rain does not automatically cancel the market.
Vintage Market is held inside Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, so park admission is required in addition to the Vintage Market ticket.
For the shortest walk, use Koen-higashiguchi Station, not Bampaku-kinen-koen Station. The East Plaza is much closer to the park's East Gate.
