Set against the wide lawns and iconic backdrop of Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, the spring edition of Vintage Market turns one of Kansai’s largest outdoor vintage gatherings into a three-day treasure hunt. Held each spring and fall, the series has grown steadily since its launch, bringing dealers, collectors and casual browsers together from across the region.
Each spring, Vintage Market fills the park’s East Plaza with antiques, vintage fashion, furniture, old tools, ceramics and carefully sourced finds from Japan and around the world. The most recent spring edition ran for three days in April, with hundreds of booths spreading across the plaza alongside dedicated food and drink areas and a stage. The exact dates and lineup for Spring 2027 have not yet been announced.
Spring gives the market a different personality. Fresh greenery, longer days and warmer weather bring people back outdoors, while Expo ’70 Park’s enormous open spaces leave plenty of room to browse at an unhurried pace. Instead of cramped indoor aisles, the market unfolds beneath the open sky, with the Tower of the Sun providing an unmistakably Osaka backdrop.
Wandering the grounds feels less like shopping and more like time travel. Mid-century furniture sits beside Showa-era curios. Worn-in American denim hangs next to delicate European glassware. Recent editions have provided a shipping service for purchases, including furniture and shelving, alongside fitting rooms for vintage clothing and other visitor facilities throughout the market. It’s a small detail that reflects how seriously Vintage Market has grown into a destination for collectors as well as casual treasure hunters.
As the series continues to grow in scale and attendance, Vintage Market has cemented itself as a fixture on Osaka’s market calendar — a modern heir to Europe’s great open-air flea markets, rooted firmly in Kansai style.

Walking Path:
Osaka Monorail → Koen-higashiguchi Station → walk toward Expo ’70 Commemorative Park → enter through the East Gate (東口) → continue into the Natural and Cultural Gardens → East Plaza (東の広場).
Allow approximately 10 minutes on foot from Koen-higashiguchi Station to East Plaza.
Bampaku-kinen-koen Station can also be used, but East Plaza is approximately 20 minutes away on foot, making Koen-higashiguchi the more convenient station for Vintage Market.

Spring 2027 dates have not yet been announced.
Vintage Market traditionally returns to Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in spring for a multi-day market at East Plaza. The most recent spring edition was held April 17–19, 2026.
The market typically brings together hundreds of booths featuring antiques, vintage clothing, furniture, ceramics, retro goods and collectibles, alongside food, drinks and additional programming.

How much does Vintage Market's Spring Flea Market cost?
Spring 2027 ticket prices have not yet been announced, but the autumn edition pricing was:
Advance Admission: ¥700
Same-Day Admission: ¥1,000
Elementary School & Younger: Free
A separate Expo ’70 Commemorative Park admission fee is required:
Adults: ¥260
Elementary & Junior High School Students: ¥80
That makes the normal total admission ¥960 for an adult with an advance Vintage Market ticket or ¥1,260 with same-day admission.

For the shortest walk, use Koen-higashiguchi Station. East Plaza is substantially closer to the East Gate than to Bampaku-kinen-koen Station.
