Tigers Victory Parade 2026

Back-to-Back Champions, Back on Midosuji

The Tigers are champions again — and Osaka is preparing to celebrate as the team returns to Midosuji for a victory parade, this time as part of the city’s annual Midosuji Runway.

A year ago, as 200,000 fans packed Midosuji to celebrate the Hanshin Tigers, manager Kyuji Fujikawa made them a promise: the Tigers would be back.

He meant it.

Hanshin clinched the 2026 Central League championship on October 3, completing the first back-to-back league titles in franchise history since Japanese baseball adopted the two-league system. It was the Tigers’ eighth Central League title of that era, and it came in Fujikawa’s second season as manager — one year after he led the club to the championship in his first.

Now the Tigers are heading back to Midosuji too. Osaka plans to celebrate the champions with another victory parade on November 23, 2026, bringing the players and their fans together on the city’s most famous boulevard. Exact parade details — including the participating players, timing and how the procession will operate — have yet to be announced, but this year’s celebration will take place as part of Midosuji Runway, Osaka’s annual street event.

It is becoming an unexpectedly familiar sight. For decades, Tigers victory parades in Osaka were rare enough to become generational memories. Around 400,000 people stood in the rain along Midosuji after the 2003 championship. Another 180,000 returned in 2005. Then came an 18-year wait before the Tigers finally rolled down Midosuji again in 2023, celebrating a season that would end with their first Japan Series championship since 1985.

Two years later, they were back. Fujikawa’s Tigers dominated the Central League in 2025, clinching the title on September 7 and eventually celebrating before roughly 200,000 people on Midosuji on November 22. Three parade vehicles carried Fujikawa, his coaches and 35 players south through central Osaka as fans filled the sidewalks, side streets and even windows above the boulevard. At the parade, Fujikawa promised those fans they would achieve consecutive championships.

Less than a year later, promise kept.

Back-to-Back Champions – Hanshin celebrates its historic second consecutive Central League championship.

Back on Midosuji – The Tigers return to Osaka’s famous boulevard for another victory parade on November 23.

Promise Kept – Fujikawa told fans in 2025 the Tigers would win again. Less than a year later, they did.

Three in Four Years – After an 18-year drought, Tigers fans have celebrated on Midosuji in 2023, 2025 and 2026.

Part of Midosuji Runway – This year’s Tigers celebration joins Osaka’s annual street spectacular, with parade details still to come.

THE EXPERIENCE

Expect enormous crowds, a sea of yellow and black and one of the loudest celebrations Osaka will see this year as the back-to-back Central League champions return to Midosuji.

  • Watch the Tigers, coaches and team staff celebrate their historic second consecutive league championship.
  • Join thousands of Hanshin fans lining Osaka’s most famous boulevard.
  • Wear your Tigers colors — jerseys, towels and yellow-and-black gear will be everywhere.
  • Experience the parade as part of the larger Midosuji Runway street event.
  • Arrive early once the official route and viewing arrangements are announced.

This is an outdoor standing event in central Osaka, so expect significant crowds, road closures and busy stations before and after the parade.

INFO & TIPS

WAIT FOR THE PARADE MAP
The Tigers parade is confirmed, but its exact time, route and viewing arrangements are still TBA. Check the official information again before deciding where to stand.

ARRIVE EARLY
The 2025 Tigers parade drew roughly 200,000 spectators. With the 2026 celebration incorporated into Midosuji Runway, expect central Osaka to be extremely busy.

USE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Major road closures will affect Midosuji and surrounding streets. Trains and subways are the practical way to reach the parade area.

DON’T COUNT ON LAST YEAR’S SPOT
The 2026 parade is being organized differently as part of Midosuji Runway. A good viewing location from the 2025 parade may not correspond to this year’s route.

WEAR YOUR COLORS
This is Osaka celebrating the Tigers. Jerseys, caps, towels and plenty of yellow and black are very much part of the experience.
