Gamba Osaka returns to Panasonic Stadium Suita on Saturday, September 12 to face FC Tokyo, with kickoff at 19:00. It will be Gamba’s first home match since the scoreless draw against Sanfrecce Hiroshima on August 29 and another Saturday-night opportunity to experience one of Osaka’s biggest football atmospheres. General ticket sales are already underway.
Gamba earned a point in that last home appearance, battling Hiroshima to a 0–0 draw despite finishing the match with ten men after Takeru Kishimoto was sent off in the 87th minute. Head coach Akira Myojin said afterward that although the draw was disappointing, he was satisfied with the team’s performance and defensive improvement.
Before FC Tokyo arrives, however, Gamba has two away league matches that could substantially change the storyline: Sept. 2, at V-Varen Nagasaki, followed by Sept. 6 at JEF United Chiba.
Gamba Osaka enters the new season under head coach Dani Poyatos, with captain Shinnosuke Nakatani leading a squad that blends experienced internationals with emerging Japanese talent. Osaka Monorail → Banpaku-kinen-koen Station → approximately 15-minute walk
Panasonic Stadium Suita is located within Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in northern Osaka. On matchdays, thousands of supporters arrive via the Osaka Monorail, and the walk from Banpaku-kinen-koen Station is well signposted by stadium staff.
There is no general public parking at the stadium on matchdays, and visitors are strongly encouraged to use public transportation. Bicycle parking is available near the stadium for those arriving locally.
