EXILE Reunites for Its 25th Anniversary

Original Members Return as Osaka Hosts the Grand Finale

EXILE brings fourteen performers, including three returning original members, to Kyocera Dome Osaka for the finale of its 25th-anniversary concert celebration.

Twenty-five years after EXILE helped redefine Japanese pop entertainment, fourteen performers from different chapters of the group’s history are coming together for a remarkable anniversary celebration. On December 5 and 6, Kyocera Dome Osaka hosts the final two concerts of EXILE 25th ANNIVERSARY BEST LIVE, bringing one of Japan’s most influential dance-and-vocal groups back together for a career-spanning spectacle.

The biggest attraction is the return of original-generation performers MATSU, ÜSA, and MAKIDAI. All three stepped away from regular EXILE performances at the end of 2015, pursuing individual careers while the group continued evolving. Their appearances alongside later generations offer longtime fans a rare opportunity to see performers who helped build EXILE sharing the stage with those who carried its legacy forward.

Their return has required considerable dedication. When the trio reunited with EXILE at Tokyo Dome in April 2026, they described months of physical preparation to meet the demands of the group’s choreography. The emotional reunion moved vocalist ATSUSHI to tears as he watched the audience welcome his former bandmates.

EXILE’s influence extends well beyond music. AKIRA became a familiar television face through his starring role in the Japanese drama GTO, while MAKIDAI spent years as a presenter on the popular morning program ZIP! Members have built careers in acting, television, dance, and music production, making their return to EXILE especially meaningful.

For audiences unfamiliar with the group, the anniversary offers an introduction to the powerful vocals, synchronized choreography, and R&B-influenced pop that made EXILE a Japanese entertainment institution. The announced lineup includes ATSUSHI, TAKAHIRO, AKIRA, NAOTO, and other performers representing the group’s changing generations.

Only four concerts are scheduled for this anniversary production, beginning in Saitama before concluding in Osaka. When the final performance ends at Kyocera Dome on December 6, it will close a celebration that brings twenty-five years of EXILE history together on one stage.

Original Members Return – MATSU, ÜSA, and MAKIDAI reunite with EXILE after a decade away from regular performances.

Fourteen Performers – Different generations of EXILE share the stage for their 25th anniversary.

Stars Beyond Music – See entertainers known for hit records, television dramas, and films.

Twenty-Five Years of Hits – Celebrate EXILE’s signature vocals and powerful choreography.

Osaka Grand Finale – Kyocera Dome hosts the final two concerts of the anniversary series.
