INI Celebrates Its Fifth-Anniversary Tour
Japanese boy group INI brings its CITY OF LIGHTS fifth-anniversary tour to Kyocera Dome Osaka, returning to the venue where it made its dome debut in 2024.
In 2024, eleven young performers stepped onto the stage at Kyocera Dome Osaka for the biggest concerts of their careers. Two years later, INI returns to the venue where it first became a dome headliner, bringing its fifth-anniversary CITY OF LIGHTS tour to Osaka on November 14–15, 2026. For the Japanese boy group and its devoted fans, known as MINI, it’s a homecoming with plenty to celebrate.
The Osaka concerts carry particular significance for vocalist Takumi Ozaki, who hails from Osaka Prefecture. Returning to the group’s original dome stage during its fifth-anniversary celebrations adds a hometown dimension to an already meaningful occasion.
For longtime MINI, CITY OF LIGHTS offers an opportunity to celebrate five years of music and shared memories. For newcomers, it’s a chance to discover why eleven performers who first appeared on a television competition have become one of Japan’s major contemporary pop acts.
Those who attended INI’s September concerts at Tokyo Dome witnessed a production that balanced enormous moving stages and large dance ensembles with intimate musical arrangements. Writing for Real Sound, critic Akihiro Tomita described how, despite the spectacle, the personalities and individual talents of the eleven members remained at the heart of the performance.
INI’s story began in 2021, when eleven contestants emerged from the televised audition competition PRODUCE 101 JAPAN SEASON 2. The group quickly established itself in Japan’s competitive pop landscape, combining tightly synchronized choreography, powerful vocals, and hip-hop influences with the polished presentation of contemporary idol culture.
Commercial success followed. INI collected major music awards, released million-selling singles, and developed a passionate following. Its first solo dome concerts, held at Kyocera Dome Osaka in February 2024, reportedly attracted 70,000 fans across two performances. September 2026 brought another milestone: the group’s first Tokyo Dome concerts, attended by a reported 100,000 people over two nights.
When INI first performed at Kyocera Dome Osaka in 2024, the occasion marked a breakthrough. This November, the group returns with five years of experience, a growing catalog of hits, and its first Tokyo Dome concerts behind it. For INI and the fans who have followed that journey, Osaka is once again the place to celebrate how far they’ve come.
