As autumn settles over Osaka and the city’s parks become perfect places to spend the day outside, LOHAS PARK returns to Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park on October 24 and 25. The 8th Osaka Tsurumi edition transforms the park’s Great Lawn into a lively weekend gathering spot filled with shopping, food and activities.
LOHAS PARK brings together independent makers, craftspeople and food vendors selling everything from handmade accessories, pottery and woodworking to antiques, plants, baked goods and specialty foods. Workshops and hands-on activities add to the market atmosphere, while performances and attractions give families plenty to explore beyond the shopping.
This October’s Great Lawn edition is expected to welcome around 16,000 visitors over the weekend, with maker stalls joined by food vendors, coffee stands, kitchen cars and family activities. Handprint art is already among the planned activities, while recent Tsurumi editions have also featured inflatable play areas, hands-on experiences and stage entertainment for both children and adults. The final vendor list and entertainment schedule will be announced closer to the event.
It’s a fitting setting for LOHAS PARK, a recurring market built around handmade goods, good food and spending the day outside. Tsurumi Ryokuchi has long been a place where Osaka comes together outdoors. The sprawling park was the site of the 1990 International Garden and Greenery Exposition, and its lawns, gardens and open spaces still carry that legacy.
The Tsurumi edition returns throughout the year, moving between different areas of the park depending on the season. Each edition has its own mix of vendors and activities, but the idea remains the same: LOHAS PARK places its focus on community connection, making it easy to drop in for a short visit or spend a relaxed afternoon exploring.

INFO & TIPS
What should visitors know before attending LOHAS PARK Tsurumi?
LOHAS PARK is held outdoors and continues in rain, so check the forecast and bring appropriate clothing. Severe weather can cause cancellation, with no make-up date.
Pets are permitted at LOHAS PARK Tsurumi, subject to the park's normal rules.
Admission is free, making it easy to drop in briefly or combine the market with a longer day exploring Tsurumi Ryokuchi.
The park is large, and LOHAS PARK can move between different areas for each edition. For October 2026, head specifically for the Great Lawn (大芝生) rather than assuming the location used for a previous Tsurumi market.
Public transportation is the easiest option. Tsurumi-ryokuchi Station is immediately beside the park, while parking can become busy during large events.
