Expo Thanks Fireworks Display

A Spectacular Farewell to Expo 2025

Final two days! The Thanks Fireworks lights the sky to bid a heartfelt farewell to Osaka Kansai 2025.

As Expo 2025 approaches its grand finale, the skies above Yumeshima will come alive with the EXPO Thanks Fireworks Display. Running across eight nights in September and October, these short but spectacular shows are the Expo’s way of thanking millions of visitors for their support. The fireworks will be launched from outside the Grand Roof Ring (south side), designed to be enjoyed across the Expo grounds.

And now there are only two days left to see the displays live.  The series began September 6 and cculminates with larger-scale shows on October 12, and the Closing Day, October 13, 2025.  Each display lasts around five minutes, but in true Osaka fashion, the energy and emotion are set to linger long after the final spark fades.

While official start times vary—and organizers note they may not always be disclosed for safety—the magic lies in gathering with fellow visitors as night falls, waiting for the sudden burst of light that signals another moment of Expo history.

Eight Special Nights: Sept 6, 13, 20, 27 and Oct 4, 8, 12, 13.
Three large-scale displays: Sept 27, Oct 8, and Closing Day Oct 13.
A cultural thank-you: fireworks framed as gratitude to Expo’s millions of visitors.
Closing night crescendo: Oct 13 marks the Expo’s final day with a major show.
Viewing tips: Arrive early—start times may not be publicized; be in place well before sunset.
