On Saturday, October 31, 2026, that spirit reaches its pinnacle at Osaka Art Fireworks, staged at Rinku Park’s Marble Beach in Izumisano City. The 2026 edition also marks the event’s fifth anniversary, celebrating five years of transforming Osaka Bay into one of Japan’s premier fireworks performances.

This isn’t a casual riverside viewing. It’s a carefully choreographed performance where fireworks burst in perfect sync with a musical score, created by the acclaimed team GREAT SKY ART, whose work has represented Japan at the Montreal International Fireworks Competition and earned an Excellence Award at the International Illumination Awards 2025. Art Fireworks are choreographed to music with split-second precision. Every burst, color, and crescendo is timed to the soundtrack, transforming the display into a live performance rather than simply a fireworks show. For 50 uninterrupted minutes, the sea horizon becomes their canvas—white bursts echoing piano notes, golden cascades timed to soaring strings, and shimmering blues rising with the percussion. The sound of waves and the cool autumn sea breeze become part of the performance.

The fifth-anniversary edition adds another creative voice: former Japanese national-team figure skater Takahiko Kozuka will produce his first-ever fireworks work as a special program for Osaka, bringing the expressive instincts of figure skating into the night sky.

Rinku Park’s Marble Beach provides one of Kansai’s most spectacular fireworks settings. With uninterrupted views across Osaka Bay, the beach offers a rare opportunity to watch fireworks rising directly from the horizon. Marble Beach is also recognized as one of Japan’s 100 Best Sunsets, making the hours before the performance part of the experience.

Gates open at 14:00, giving visitors time to explore Chinuumi Dining, a waterfront food village celebrating Osaka Bay and the Senshu region with fresh seafood, regional specialties, and festival favorites before sunset gives way to the night’s main event. Nearby Rinku Premium Outlets and Rinku Pleasure Town Seacle make it easy to turn the event into a full afternoon and evening outing.

And don’t forget the season—October evenings by the sea can get brisk. While daytime may be mild, the sun’s disappearance quickly cools the air. Bring layers: a light jacket or coat, scarf, and perhaps a blanket if you’ll be sitting still during the show.
