Ryokushaka Hatches Something New
Ryokuoushoku Shakai brings its newly released album Atamago to Osaka-jō Hall for two nights, mixing new music with a hit-filled catalogue anime fans may already know.
On October 23 and 24, the four-piece brings Ryokuoushoku Shakai ARENA TOUR 2026 “Atamago” to Osaka-jō Hall. The five-city, 10-show run is the band’s second arena tour and its largest to date, built around a sixth album released only weeks earlier on September 9.
Anime fans have particularly good reason to know them. “Hana ni Natte” became the opening theme for The Apothecary Diaries, while “Shout Baby” served as an ending theme for My Hero Academia. Add the 500-million-stream hit “Mela!” and Ryokushaka has built a catalogue that reaches considerably beyond the band’s core pop-rock audience.
The tour name itself is deliberately strange. During an August FM802 public recording, vocalist Haruko Nagaya explained that the members wanted to give their new musical “children” a new name, combining atama — head — with tamago — egg — to create Atamago. She later described the band as having given birth to the album, with listeners becoming the people who help raise it from there.
That sense of something newly hatched runs through a 12-track record mixing previously released songs with substantial new material. Guitarist Issey Kobayashi has said roughly half the album consists of new songs, while previously released tracks can sound different because of the way they have been placed around them.
Ryokushaka itself began in Aichi in 2012, formed by three high-school classmates — Nagaya, Kobayashi and keyboardist peppe — together with Kobayashi’s childhood friend, bassist Shingo Anami. All four contribute to the songwriting, helping explain the range behind a catalogue many listeners may already know even if the band’s name is less familiar.
The numbers reinforce that reach. “Mela!” has passed 500 million streams and “Hana ni Natte” 300 million, while “Shout Baby,” “Character” and “Summer Time Cinderella” have each crossed 100 million.
Now Osaka gets to hear what happens when that increasingly familiar catalogue meets Atamago on arena scale. The album will be only weeks old when Ryokushaka reaches Osaka-jō Hall, making these two nights part of the first chapter in how its newest songs grow onstage.

Valid student identification is required at entry. Anyone unable to provide the required identification must pay the difference to the general ticket price.
Parent/Child Seats
The parent or guardian must be age 20 or older, with children from elementary-school age through third-year junior high. The parent or guardian must make the application, and everyone in this section must remain seated during the performance. Age verification may be conducted.
