Novelbright Keeps Its Promise to Osaka
Novelbright returns to Osaka-jō Hall for two sold-out nights on the PYRAMID tour, revisiting the arena the band once pointed toward from Osaka Castle Park and promised fans it would reach.
In Osaka Castle Park, Novelbright once looked toward Osaka-jō Hall and made its ambitions remarkably specific: they would meet their fans inside that building within two years.
They did it in July 2021, selling out their first one-man performance at the arena. This October 16 & 17, Novelbright returns to Osaka-jō Hall for two nights of Novelbright HALL & ARENA TOUR 2026 PYRAMID — and this time, both nights are sold out. The concerts take place October 16 and 17 as part of the arena phase of a national tour that began with hall performances in spring.
Novelbright formed in Osaka in 2013, with the current five-member lineup taking shape in January 2019. That year proved pivotal. A nationwide street-performance tour spread rapidly through social media and word of mouth, helping carry the band from its Osaka base to a national audience. In August 2020, Novelbright made its major-label debut with “Sunny drop.”
The scale has changed considerably since then. Songs including “Walking with you,” “Tsukimisou” and “Ai toka Koi toka” have helped push Novelbright beyond 2 billion total streams in Japan and overseas. But PYRAMID, the band’s fourth major full-length album, points forward rather than simply celebrating that rise. Released April 1, the album supplies the foundation for the current tour.
That brings Novelbright back to a building that has already served as a measuring stick for its ambitions. In 2019, Osaka-jō Hall was something to point toward. In 2021, playing inside it became proof that an audacious promise could be kept.
Five years later, the challenge is different. Novelbright no longer needs to prove it can reach Osaka-jō Hall. Filling it for two consecutive nights shows just how far beyond that original promise the band has traveled.

Approximately 5 minutes on foot. From Exit 4, continue beside Matsushita IMP Building, turn at the Shiromi 1 intersection, cross Osaka Castle Bridge and continue toward the hall’s North Entrance.
Osaka Metro Chuo Line → Morinomiya Station
Approximately 15 minutes on foot through Osaka Castle Park.
Osakajokoen and Osaka Business Park provide the shortest approaches to the hall.
