Whisky Festival in Osaka
Whisky Festival 2026 returns to Osaka Bay with tastings, seminars, producer meet-and-greets, bottle shopping, and a brand-new Premium Night, bringing whisky fans together for one of Japan’s biggest annual spirits gatherings.
For one weekend each summer, Osaka becomes a gathering place for whisky enthusiasts from across Japan. Whisky Festival 2026 in Osaka returns to ATC Hall on June 26 and 27, bringing together distilleries, importers, retailers, bartenders, and spirits fans for a large-scale tasting event dedicated to whisky, gin, and other premium spirits. The event is open to both industry professionals and the general public, creating an atmosphere that combines education, discovery, and celebration.
Throughout the festival, visitors can explore exhibitor booths featuring domestic and international brands, sample a wide variety of whiskies and spirits, purchase bottles and merchandise, and speak directly with producers. One of the event’s biggest attractions is the opportunity to meet the people behind the brands, whether they are master blenders, distillers, importers, or industry experts.
A major addition for 2026 is the introduction of Premium Night on Friday evening. Held from 5:00pm to 7:30pm on June 26, this new session includes a special stage program featuring guest speakers and industry personalities. It offers a more intimate opening experience before the main Saturday sessions begin.
Saturday’s festival is divided into two separate sessions, each operating with a complete venue turnover between admissions. Visitors can choose either the morning session or afternoon session, while seminar rooms host tasting seminars led by leading figures from Japan’s whisky industry. Organizers have expanded the scale of the event for 2026, with each session limited to 1,700 attendees.
Beyond the tastings themselves, Whisky Festival has become known as a place to discover new distilleries, compare styles from around the world, and deepen appreciation for whisky culture. Whether you are searching for your next favorite bottle, hoping to learn directly from industry professionals, or simply looking for a memorable day among fellow enthusiasts, the festival offers a rare opportunity to experience the breadth of the whisky world under one roof.
