Hanshin Tigers first 2026 Home Series

Hanshin Tigers Bring First Osaka Games of 2026 to Kyocera Dome

Osaka gets its first look at the 2026 Tigers in person. The Hanshin Tigers return to Osaka for their first local games of the season, hosting an early series at Kyocera Dome before play shifts to Koshien.

There’s no easing into the season in Osaka — not when the Hanshin Tigers open with a statement.

On March 31, 2026, Hanshin took Game 1 of their Kyocera Dome series against the Yokohama DeNA BayStars with a 4–1 win, giving Kansai fans their first look at regular-season baseball in the Osaka area — and an early result to match the atmosphere. The Tigers controlled the game through the middle innings, settling into a rhythm that turned a packed dome into a familiar scene: sustained pressure, rising crowd energy, and a home opener that felt firmly in their hands.

The series continues tonight, April 1, and tomorrow, April 2, with both games scheduled for 18:00 first pitch at Kyocera Dome Osaka. With Hanshin already holding a 1–0 edge in the series, the focus shifts to whether they can press that advantage or if DeNA responds to even things up.

Matchup-wise, this is where the early-season tone starts to take shape. Hanshin will be looking to carry over the composure and control shown in Game 1, while the BayStars — a team capable of quick offensive bursts — will be aiming to disrupt that rhythm early. Even without fully confirmed starting pitchers at this stage, the dynamic is clear: Hanshin enters with momentum and crowd support, DeNA with urgency.

For Osaka-based fans — and visitors looking to experience professional baseball without heading to Koshien — this series marks the first chance of the 2026 season to step into a live regular-season environment in the city. And now, with Game 1 already in the books, the atmosphere shifts from anticipation to something more immediate: a series in motion, with two nights left to define it.

Next, the Tigers will have their home field opener at Koshien Stadium on April 7th vs. the Tokyo Yakult Swallows.

Koshien Stadium has long been synonymous with Tigers baseball and fan devotion. Tigers–BayStars matchups are known for tight games and strong crowd engagement, making this opening series an early-season test for both clubs and a must-see experience for visitors.

Arriving early is part of the ritual. Fans gather around the stadium hours before first pitch, food stalls line the approach, and the surrounding park fills with supporters in black-and-yellow jerseys preparing for the season’s first roar.

Kansai’s Baseball Return — The Tigers officially open their home season at Koshien Stadium.

BayStars Rivalry — Yokohama DeNA arrives as the opening opponent.

Three-Game Series — A full opening celebration across three consecutive games.

Koshien Atmosphere — One of Japan’s most intense baseball crowds.

Spring Traditions — Ceremonies, banners, and season-opening rituals.
