Wrap yourself in the spectacle of fireworks—without braving the summer heat or crowding the riverbanks. Hanabiriumu, housed at the Itami City Children’s Culture Science Museum, offers a planetarium-style immersion that merges science, story, and stunning visuals. From July 19 to September 28, 2025, this approximately 50-minute program invites families to first gaze at tonight’s starry sky (“Tonight’s Starry Sky Guide”), then dive into “Hanabiriumu”—a dazzling narrative that unfolds like a fairytale beneath bursting lights.
The second half of the show features real-time, 360° high-definition footage filmed directly under the fireworks launch site—a vantage point usually reserved only for the pyrotechnitors themselves. You’ll feel the rumble beneath your feet, the flash all around, and the thrill of being “inside” the fireworks.
It even weaves in a touching story: Hibana, a “firework child” struggling with self-doubt, journeys through the world of fireworks with guidance from a wise “Smoke Grandpa,” discovering the art and science behind each brilliant burst.

THE SCENE: FAQ’s
ACCESS
From JR Itami Station: Exit via the east side and cross the pedestrian deck. Walk past Aeon Mall Itami toward the Kuwazu area; the museum is on the left after about 10 minutes.
From Hankyu Itami Station: Exit east and walk through Itami Shopping Street, cross the Inagawa River and continue toward Kuwazu for about 20 minutes.
Buses: Local buses from both stations stop near the museum; check schedules as times vary.
Parking: Limited parking is available; public transport is recommended.
