SCANDAL Comes Home
Twenty years after four Osaka high school friends formed a band, SCANDAL returns home on the exact anniversary of their forming. Celebrate Chapter 20 at Osaka-jō Hall with one of Japan's most enduring rock bands.

Twenty years ago, four Osaka high school students walked into a local vocal and dance school with little more than a shared love of music and a dream of performing. Formed in 2006 at Osaka’s Caless Vocal & Dance School, HARUNA, MAMI, TOMOMI, and RINA soon took to the streets of nearby Osaka Castle Park, where early performances helped lay the foundation for what would become one of Japan’s most successful rock bands. Two decades later, those same four friends are still making music together—a remarkable achievement in an industry where lineups often change—and return home to celebrate not only a milestone anniversary, but the city where their story first began.
On August 21, 2026—exactly 20 years to the day since SCANDAL was formed—the band returns to Osaka-jō Hall for Chapter 20, one of the most meaningful concerts of its career. The anniversary performance marks SCANDAL’s fourth solo appearance at the iconic venue and its first in five years, bringing generations of fans together to celebrate twenty years of music, friendship, and unwavering dedication. More than an anniversary concert, Chapter 20 is a homecoming, honoring the band’s Osaka roots while opening an exciting new chapter for one of Japan’s longest-running and most beloved rock bands.
Founded in Osaka but embraced around the world, SCANDAL has spent the past two decades building an international following through hit albums, anime theme songs, and world tours spanning Asia, Europe, North America, and beyond. Along the way, the quartet earned recognition from Guinness World Records as the world’s longest-running female rock band with the same original members—a testament not only to their musical success, but to the enduring friendship that has defined the band from the very beginning.
Whether you’ve followed SCANDAL since their earliest street performances or recently discovered their music, Chapter 20 offers a rare chance to celebrate one of Japan’s most enduring rock bands in the city where it all began. For one unforgettable night, Osaka isn’t just another tour stop—it’s home.
