In a genre often built around fantasy worlds and larger-than-life personas, BOYNEXTDOOR began with a deliberately simple idea: create a group that feels like the boys who live next door.
That idea arrives in Osaka on September 9 and 10, when the six-member group brings BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.2’ IN JAPAN to Osaka-jō Hall. Just three years after debuting, BOYNEXTDOOR has grown from one of K-pop’s newest acts into an arena headliner, with two nights in Osaka reflecting the remarkable speed of its rise. Doors open at 17:00, with concerts beginning at 18:00 each evening.
BOYNEXTDOOR was created to feel approachable and familiar. Their songs explore first crushes, awkward relationships, friendship, growing up, and the everyday emotions that connect people regardless of language. It’s a concept that sounds simple but has become the group’s defining strength, allowing fans to see themselves in the music rather than simply admire it from a distance.
That authenticity was intentional from the beginning. BOYNEXTDOOR was envisioned as a group whose music would feel honest, relatable, and grounded in everyday life. The six members also play an active role in their creative process, with Jaehyun, Taesan, and Woonhak contributing to songwriting and composition across the group’s releases. Their hands-on involvement gives the music a youthful sincerity that resonates with listeners.
The formula has connected quickly with audiences in both Korea and Japan. Since debuting in May 2023 and launching their Japanese activities the following year, BOYNEXTDOOR has built a rapidly growing fanbase through energetic live performances, genuine personalities, and songs that capture the excitement and uncertainty of growing up. Rather than relying solely on spectacle, the group has earned a reputation for performances filled with live vocals, playful chemistry, and the feeling that six close friends have invited the audience into their world.
The Osaka concerts are part of the group’s latest Japanese arena tour and arrive alongside their first full-length album, HOME, another milestone in a career that has advanced at an extraordinary pace. For longtime fans, it’s a chance to experience one of K-pop’s fastest-rising groups on one of Osaka’s biggest stages. For newcomers, it’s an opportunity to discover why BOYNEXTDOOR has become one of the most talked-about names of K-pop’s fifth generation.
