Osaka Gourmet EXPO 2025

Final Days of the Food Paradise at Osaka Castle

Taste Osaka at the ultimate expo of flavors! From street food legends to global gourmet stalls, Osaka Gourmet EXPO keeps the city fed & buzzing all summer.

From April 12 to October 13, 2025, the spacious Taiyō no Hiroba within Osaka Castle Park becomes home to the Osaka Gourmet EXPO—a six-month-long celebration of food, drink, and entertainment that runs daily from 11:00 to 22:00.

The Gourmet EXPO stretches across the seasons, with about 30 food vendors rotating in and out at any given time, ensuring there’s always something new to try. Osaka favorites like takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and kushikatsu share the stage with ramen pop-ups, gourmet burgers, Korean street snacks, sweet crêpes, and regional delicacies flown in from across Japan. For thirsty festivalgoers, the weekday ‘Happy Hour’ from 18:00–19:00 slashes drink prices in half, courtesy of Suntory, setting the mood for lively evenings under the castle’s gaze.

Comfort isn’t overlooked either—two massive indoor tents, the MATSURI Tent and the UTAGE Tent, offer climate-controlled seating where you can sip, snack, and stay cool in summer or warm in autumn. The energy is as much about performance as it is about food: live bands, DJs, comedians, and variety shows keep the stage alive throughout the day, giving the event the feel of a rolling matsuri that never quite ends.

Best of all? Admission is completely free. You can wander in and out at leisure, tasting what tempts you and soaking up the castle-park atmosphere until the lights fade at night. Just remember—it’s cashless only, so bring your card or smartphone wallet to make the most of it.

Whether you’re a local stopping by after work or a visitor exploring Expo 2025, the Osaka
