Star Wars Galaxy in Osaka

Osaka enters galaxy mode for cross-city Stamp Rally

Stamp rallies, railway adventures, exclusive collectibles, and themed photo spots continue across Osaka as the city builds toward the Japanese release of The Mandalorian and Grogu.

Even after Star Wars Day celebrations have faded, Osaka is still deep in Star Wars mode. “STAR WARS GALAXY IN OSAKA” continues across Umeda and the Hankyu Railway network with a citywide rally campaign tied to the upcoming release of The Mandalorian and Grogu, the new theatrical film based on the globally popular Disney+ series The Mandalorian.

The campaign transforms parts of Osaka itself into an interactive Star Wars experience. Fans can travel between railway stations, shopping complexes, and checkpoint locations collecting stamps, discovering themed photo installations, and unlocking exclusive non-sale rewards while exploring the city. It is one of those uniquely Japanese event formats that blends fandom culture, transit culture, shopping, and urban exploration into a full-day adventure.

The campaign is divided into two separate rally courses. The Hankyu Railway Course sends participants across four locations along the Hankyu network, while the Umeda Area Course covers five checkpoints around Osaka-Umeda Station and Chayamachi. Every checkpoint includes photo spots themed around Grogu, the Mandalorian, and scenes from The Mandalorian and Grogu, creating an immersive citywide scavenger hunt leading up to the film’s Japanese premiere.

Participants who complete the Hankyu Railway Course receive an exclusive acrylic keychain unavailable for retail sale, while the Umeda Area Course rewards visitors with randomly distributed limited-edition stickers. Fans who complete all nine checkpoints across both campaigns can also apply for a W-Chance lottery featuring additional exclusive Star Wars merchandise.

The event extends beyond the rally itself into Osaka’s shopping culture through a separate collaboration campaign at Hankyu Sanbangai. Decorations, themed displays, and giveaway promotions continue through the end of May, adding Star Wars atmosphere throughout one of Osaka’s busiest commercial districts. Combined with the continuing photo spots and rally checkpoints, the campaign still offers one of the city’s more unusual spring experiences even after Golden Week has ended.

For visitors looking for something different from Osaka’s usual sightseeing routes, “STAR WARS GALAXY IN OSAKA” turns train stations, shopping centers, and city streets into part of the adventure. Whether you are a longtime Star Wars fan or simply curious about Japanese stamp-rally culture, the campaign offers a playful way to explore Osaka before The Mandalorian and Grogu arrives in Japanese theaters on May 22.

Galaxy Hunt – Nine checkpoint locations spread across Osaka and the Hankyu Railway network.

Grogu Photo Spots – Themed displays inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu appear throughout the campaign.

Railway Adventure – A classic Japanese stamp-rally experience built around Osaka transit culture.

Exclusive Collectibles – Non-sale acrylic keychains, stickers, and lottery-entry prizes available only through participation.

Umeda Takeover – Star Wars-themed decorations and promotional displays continue across Hankyu Sanbangai.
