Beer・Bravo! Craft Beer Carnival 2026

Spring Pours Under the Tower of the Sun

A relaxed open-air craft gathering returns to Expo ’70 Park, where regional breweries, wide lawns, and spring releases come together in one of Osaka’s most relaxed seasonal settings.

Held on the Lower Lawn of Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, Beer・Bravo! Craft Beer Carnival offers a distinctly different take on Osaka’s beer festival scene—defined not by density or noise, but by space, pace, and setting. With the Tower of the Sun rising over the grounds, the event unfolds across open grass rather than crowded lanes, creating an atmosphere that feels closer to a spring picnic than a traditional festival.

The 2025 edition, held from May 2 through May 6, brought together a curated lineup of Japanese craft breweries, including Minoh Beer (Osaka) and Kyoto Brewing Company, alongside other regional producers from across the country. The focus remained firmly on domestic craft, with a wide range of styles on offer—from hop-forward IPAs and hazy pours to lagers, saisons, and seasonal releases tailored to early May.

Beer・Bravo! operates without a centralized ticket or token system. Instead, drinks are purchased directly from each brewery booth, allowing visitors to move freely between producers and sample at their own pace. Brewers are frequently on-site, making it possible to speak directly with the people behind the beer, ask for recommendations, and explore styles more deeply than at larger, more transactional events.

The setting is central to the experience. The Lower Lawn provides a broad, open field where visitors can lay down picnic sheets, sit between tastings, and take in the surroundings without pressure to keep moving. This layout keeps the crowd dispersed and the energy balanced, even during peak holiday periods.

Food is not the central focus of Beer・Bravo! itself, but the event has been presented alongside nearby food programming within Expo ’70 Park, including adjacent festival areas offering local dishes and casual eats. That proximity allows visitors to pair drinks with a wider range of options while keeping the beer area uncluttered.

With confirmed 2025 dates, format, and venue now well established, Beer・Bravo! has positioned itself as a dependable part of Osaka’s spring calendar. A 2026 return is expected to follow this same structure: open lawn, direct brewery access, and a relaxed, park-centered pace that sets it apart from more crowded city festivals.

Scene Highlights

  • Lower Lawn Setting — Held on Expo ’70 Park’s 下の広場, offering open grass seating instead of dense vendor corridors

  • Kansai Craft Core — Includes breweries such as Minoh Beer (Osaka) and Kyoto Brewing Company alongside national producers

  • Direct Purchase Format — No tokens; beer is bought per cup at each brewery booth

  • Brewery Interaction — Brewers are often present, allowing direct conversation and recommendations
