Attack on Titan POP UP SHOP

Titans in Tennoji

One of the world’s most influential anime franchises brings its limited-edition merchandise pop-up to Osaka’s Abeno LUCBUS, offering fans an exclusive chance to explore two new illustration lines, meet fellow fans, and experience a uniquely Japanese pop-up culture phenomenon.

For more than a decade, Attack on Titan has been one of the most influential anime franchises in the world — a cultural force that has shaped global views of Japanese animation. Its intense storytelling, emotional arcs, and unforgettable characters continue to draw fans to Japan, many of whom cite the series as their entry point into Japanese culture. In Osaka, that global passion takes center stage this winter with the “Attack on Titan POP UP SHOP – Fighting ver. & Snowman ver.”, held at Abeno LUCBUS from January 16–25, 2026.

Unlike full exhibitions or themed cafés, this event taps directly into Japan’s thriving pop-up culture — short-term, exclusive merchandise shops that bring fan communities together in lively, intimate spaces. These pop-ups are beloved across Japan, appearing in department stores, train stations, and specialty event spaces, offering exclusive goods and bonuses that often become collectors’ items.

At the Osaka edition, fans can browse two new illustration lines: the action-focused “Fighting ver.” and the winter-themed “Snowman ver.” Acrylic stands, artwork, clear files, keychains, apparel, and smaller collectibles fill the space — with many items priced affordably to encourage browsing and collecting. Every ¥2,000 spent earns visitors a random character bromide, adding to the fun and encouraging fans to return or trade with others.

But the real magic goes beyond the merchandise. Pop-ups like this create a social space where fans from around the world can meet, chat, share collections, and enjoy the simple joy of being surrounded by like-minded people. Whether you’re a devoted fan, a casual viewer, or a curious traveler exploring Japanese pop culture, the event provides a small but authentic window into the living fan communities that define modern Japan.

With no admission fee, easy access from Tennoji, and a full lineup of Osaka-exclusive merchandise, the AOT POP UP SHOP at Abeno LUCBUS is one of January’s standout anime events — compact, friendly, and unmistakably Osaka.

Exclusive Illustrations: Limited Fighting ver. and Snowman ver. lines.

Collector Bonuses: Receive 1 random bromide per ¥2,000 spent.

Global Fan Culture: Connect with visitors who love the iconic anime.

  Pop-Up Energy: Short-term, limited-run merchandising experience.

Abeno Access: Steps from Tennoji and connected shopping complexes.
