Kraftwerk Returns with Multimedia Tour

Electronic Pioneers Display Precision in Motion

After several years away from Japan, Kraftwerk return on April 28, 2026, bringing their MULTIMEDIA TOUR 2026 to Grand Cube Osaka for a rare Kansai performance.

After several years away from Japan, Kraftwerk return this spring to reconnect with one of their most attentive and design-aware audiences. On April 28, 2026, the German electronic pioneers bring their MULTIMEDIA TOUR 2026 to Grand Cube Osaka, marking a long-awaited moment for Japanese fans who have followed the group since their earliest visits and releases.

Emerging from Düsseldorf in the early 1970s, Kraftwerk didn’t just introduce new sounds — they redefined how music could interact with technology, space, and visual design. Their influence underpins entire genres, from techno and synth-pop to ambient, experimental, and digital performance art. In Japan, where precision and conceptual presentation have long resonated culturally, their work has been embraced by electronic musicians, designers, and dedicated listeners alike.

The MULTIMEDIA TOUR is not positioned as nostalgia, but as a fully realized contemporary performance. Music and visuals operate in synchronization, unfolding as a unified system of rhythm, projection, and geometric imagery. Rather than excess, the presentation emphasizes clarity, repetition, and control.

Grand Cube Osaka provides the acoustic integrity and visual scale necessary for this approach. The hall format allows audiences to experience precise sound placement and wide visual fields in a seated environment designed for focused listening.

For longtime followers and first-time listeners, the evening offers a rare opportunity to encounter electronic music at its most deliberate and foundational — less spectacle, more immersion, and a reaffirmation of why Kraftwerk’s ideas remain forward-looking decades after their debut.

Electronic Architects — The foundation of modern techno and synth-pop.

Multimedia Precision — Sound and projection synchronized as one system.

Japan Return — A rare live appearance after several years away.

Minimal by Design — Geometry, repetition, and control over spectacle.

Grand Cube Setting — Wide acoustics suited to immersive presentation.
