Hokoku Shrine
Pay tribute to Toyotomi Hideyoshi at this serene shrine within a quiet corner of Osaka Castle Park.
Hokoku Shrine honors Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the legendary samurai and unifier of Japan who built Osaka Castle. Set within the park’s southern area, the shrine offers a peaceful contrast to the bustling castle grounds.
The large bronze statue of Hideyoshi stands proudly, a popular photo spot for visitors.
Throughout the year, the shrine hosts traditional ceremonies, festivals, and cultural events, particularly around New Year and during cherry blossom season.
It’s a place to reflect, pay respects, and connect with the historical figure who shaped much of Osaka’s legacy.
