DAN DA DAN Art Exhibition
One of Japan’s most explosive manga sensations arrives in Osaka as the DAN DA DAN Original Art Exhibition takes over Namba Parks Museum, bringing original drawings, immersive displays, and limited-edition merchandise to Kansai for a strictly limited run.
As winter turns toward spring, Osaka gets a rare pop-culture showcase as the DAN DA DAN Original Art Exhibition opens at Namba Parks Museum on the 7th floor of the Namba Parks complex. Running from February 7 through March 8, the exhibition transforms one of Kansai’s most accessible museum spaces into a deep dive into one of Japan’s fastest-rising manga phenomena.
Created by Yukinobu Tatsu, DAN DA DAN has built a devoted following through its chaotic blend of occult horror, alien mythology, slapstick comedy, and emotionally grounded characters. This exhibition focuses on the manga’s visual power, presenting original drawings, detailed storyboards, and large-scale reproductions that highlight the raw energy and precision behind the artwork.
Rather than functioning as a static gallery, the exhibition is structured as a walk-through experience. Visitors move between themed zones inspired by key moments and characters, with visual staging designed to mirror the manga’s frantic pacing and dramatic tonal shifts. Life-size displays and photo spots allow fans to step directly into the series’ world, while newcomers can appreciate the art and storytelling even without prior familiarity.
The Osaka stop marks the final leg of the touring exhibition, following successful runs in Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka. For longtime fans, it’s a chance to see original works up close before the exhibition concludes; for inbound visitors, it’s a distinctly Japan-only experience that captures contemporary manga culture at full volume in the heart of Namba.
