MONTHLY GUIDE

November 2025

Osaka’s Autumn Glory in Full Color

November glows with golden ginkgo and fiery maples, crisp skies, and a calendar packed with festivals and illuminations that set Osaka apart.

As autumn deepens, Osaka transforms in its own captivating way: castle moats mirrored with scarlet maples, ginkgo-lined boulevards glowing in amber light, and tranquil temple gardens shifting into warm seasonal palettes. The cooler air adds an extra clarity to the skyline, making long walks through Osaka Castle Park or along Midosuji Avenue even more memorable.

What makes November especially unique is the blend of seasonal color with the city’s cultural high points. The Osaka Castle Ginkgo Festival draws crowds to admire avenues of gold while enjoying local food stalls, performances, and night-time light-ups. Expo ’70 Commemorative Park hosts its famed autumn foliage festival, showcasing some of the richest reds and oranges in Kansai. And as the month progresses, the Midosuji Illumination and Osaka Hikari Renaissance switch on, turning the city into a glittering wonderland just as the last leaves begin to fall.

For travelers, it’s the perfect moment—cool, comfortable weather, the city dressed in color, and a sense that Osaka is winding down the year with both elegance and energy.
